The Nigerian Police Force has declared Mr Umah Kelvin Chigozie , a resident of Umuoluigbo, Ohaji Community wanted over jailbreak and escaping justice. Mr. Umah kelvin Chigozie was arrested on November 19th 2024 after the investigation clash between Ohaji community and Fulani herders who graze their animals in the community.
According to Police records made available to the public, Mr Umah Kelvin Chigozie was picked up by the police after due investigation, following the clash between the herders and the community that resulted in the death of 23 cows owned by the herders. Speaking further to the media, the Ohaji police PRO confirmed that Umah Kelvin Chigozie who also doubled as the Youth Leader of the community has had streaks of reports of preventing the herders from pasturing their cattle. The police noted that under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, all citizens have the right to reside and move freely across the country, a right that extends to pastoralists. Section 41(1): “Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part thereof, and no citizen of Nigeria shall be expelled from Nigeria or refused entry thereto or exit therefrom.”
This section guarantees the right of all Nigerian citizens, including pastoralists, to move freely and reside anywhere within the country without restriction, subject to any limitations prescribed by law (e.g., for public safety, health, or order, as noted in Section 45).

After preliminary investigations, Umah Kelvin Chigozie was picked up by the police for inciting chaos, breach of public peace and restriction of the application of the above cited law, Upon which when convicted could face up to nine years imprisonment.
However, fresh reports reveal that Umah Kelvin Chigozie broke out of prison, destroying police properties in his bid to escape justice.
